GNU Screen: a tutorial

"screen" is a totally awesome Unix terminal multiplexer. For example, it allows you to get into the same console session from two different places (great, if you want to go home, but continue to edit or monitor the same window).

However, most texts explaining how it works are completely unreadable. Here is a nice introduction and beginner's tutorial:
