The goal of the "diet" is to lose weight and to maintain the reduced weight long-term :-) The desire to do so is partially motivated by joints problems in my case (the specifics here is that extra weight provides extra stress on the joints making it worse, and joint pain interferes with physical exercises, and insufficient exercise leads to weight gain, so it's a bad situation I am getting tired of, something needs to be done about this)..

The quotation marks come from the fact that this "diet" does not really contain any restrictions on food consumption :-) It's a "neural hack", based on some mild interference with association between flavor and calories :-)
